The Mermaid Swimming Club is a group of people who enjoy mermaiding. They want to make mermaiding more organized and turn it into an official sport one day. The club is like a middle ground between casual mermaid groups and professional performances.

What to expect
Training
The club offers comprehensive resources and training for individuals at all levels of mermaid expertise, from newcomers to experienced professionals. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment for growth and development in all facets of mermaiding, including underwater swimming, modeling, acting, fashion, makeup, etc.
Shows
Our established mermaid swimming program offers unique skills that inspire creativity, evident in our captivating music shows that are professionally recorded. Our program culminates in three annual productions, showcasing our students' artistic talents and mermaid swimming abilities.
Competitions
We're creating a new sport called mermaiding, a type of underwater artistic swimming. We're establishing safety standards, defining moves/figures terminology, and clarifying competition rules to create a safe environment for athletes. We have two competitions planned: a local one and one at MerMagicCon.

Mermaid Swimming Practices
Mermaid swimming practice is a two-hour water session in a 13-foot-deep pool with warm 90-degree water. You can swim, learn and practice mermaid figures, try different monofins and tails, and network with other mermaids. Practices take place twice a month, usually on weekends, at The Water's Edge Aquatic Center in Bensenville, IL. The practice fee is $20 (The price is subject to change).

Mermaid Training
During our swim practices, our professional instructors will give you some free tips and guidance to make your practice more productive and satisfying. For more structured training and faster progress, you can consider taking mermaid certification classes with one of our instructors.

Photoshoots and video productions
Participating in a photoshoot or video production is a great way to showcase the skills you have learned during your mermaid training sessions. This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience as a model or performer, and to see the full process in action. It is a valuable learning experience that can help you understand the intricacies of these sessions.
