The Chicago Mermaid Championship is an athletic competition focused on showcasing and rewarding excellent swimming technical skills and artistry.
- Will take place over 2 days at The Water’s Edge Aquatic Center, Bensenville, IL.
- Saturday April 26th, 2025 evening, no audience
- Events:
- Dynamic apnea swims
- 9 Figures technical swims (Swim on front, Swim on back, Swim on side, Torpedo, Buoyancy control: Vertical head up spin, Buoyancy control: Vertical head down spin, Buoyancy control: Scorpion, Double flip, Infinity)
- Events:
- Sunday April 27th, 2025 morning, with audience. A live underwater view will be displayed on the big screen.

- Artistic (choreographed) swims
- Tailwalk showcase swims
- Events:
- Sunday April 27th, 2025 afternoon/evening
- Events:
- Awards Ceremony Banquet
- Events:
- Saturday April 26th, 2025 evening, no audience
- Awards:
- First Place: $300 cash prize
- Second Place: $200 cash prize
- Third Place: $130 cash prize
- $130.00 entry fee ($150 after January 31st), includes
- Participation in the competition
- One ticket to the Awards Ceremony Banquet. Additional tickets for your family and friends can be purchased for $35 each.
